Where did Lowbrow go?
I had an entire backstory setup about how Steve was in charge of the Lowbrow bank account and spent it all on a drunken two week bender filled with cheap booze, cheaper hookers and ended with him in a hotel room outside of Vegas, handcuffed to the bed while a transvestite hooker waxed his entire body with Nads hair removal.
I changed my mind. No one wants to hear that.
As you know, our old registrar (Registerfly.com) jacked us around, TRIPLE billed us for a renewal that they never processed AND tried to take over our domain name. It's a scam they've been running for a while now, and they're getting their license jerked away from them as a result, not to mention all of the class action lawsuits and such that are being filed against them. I guess that's what happens when you spend all of the company money on hookers, liposuction and extravagant penthouse apartments, right Kevin Medina? I could go off on a whole tirade in here about him and his lifestyle, but I'll save it for the forums.
The admin team here at Lowbrow spent countless hours on hold trying to resolve it through RegFly, but in the end there was nothing that we could say or do to resolve the issue. I am convinced that they actually added our phone numbers to their system as "blocked" numbers because the first couple of times we called, we got through after about 20 minutes. After raising hell and trying to get them to do something, we would call back only to get looped to the end of queue every 10 seconds. The recording would literally restart itself immediately after it ended as if you had just entered the queue - something that DIDN'T happen the first time we called.
As a result, we did some digging and contacted RegFly's "parent company," Enom. They actually have a section dedicated to dealing with RipoffFly, and they were very helpful and instrumental in getting our domain back for us. Customer service was superb, renewing the domain took seconds to process instead of days, and all of our old MX records (geek stuff that we didnt want to fart around with) transferred over automagically. It was a bit of a hassle proving that we are who we say we are (who would want to impersonate US?) but it was well worth it.
Right now, we are just waiting on DNS to filter down through the intertubes so that everyone can hit the site again - it should only take 24-48 hours at the MOST.
Thanks for your patience everyone - this has been hell on all of us and we're just glad to be on our way back!
